We designed High 50! as a highly participatory co-design experience, capable of engaging over 100 people in a fluid, organized, and meaningful way within a single day. The activities took place within the spaces of the MUSE, the Science Museum of Trento, a location as fascinating as it is complex, which required designing elements such as the agenda and logistics specifically for it.
The journey was structured as a system of experiential station activities, where participants, divided into heterogeneous groups, moved along a guided flow of interactions. Each activity was designed to be self-explanatory and self-facilitating, thanks to clear visual aids, physical materials, and simple instructions, thus ensuring autonomy for the groups and, at the same time, overall coherence of the experience.
The activities alternated reflective and narrative moments with more playful and engaging moments, allowing people to re-examine the cooperative’s history from multiple perspectives.
Through Manifesting Values, based on the “Cultural Assessment” tool from Amploom’s Organizational Culture Design framework, participants made visible the values experienced in their daily work. With My Secret Bellesini, a deeper understanding of the organizational ecosystem and the contribution of different functions emerged. Finally, The Bellesiners invited people to imagine the cooperative of the future, building upon the heritage established over 50 years of history.
From an organizational perspective, the event’s dynamic was facilitated through the coordination of timings and the support of people trained before the event, who helped maintain the flow without interfering with the groups’ experience.
The day was then complemented by an interactive activity during dinner, which was joined by institutional guests. Puzzles, crosswords, and word searches allowed employees and guests to rediscover key events and figures of the Cooperative, strengthening its identity and sense of belonging.
We designed the activities so that they would not interfere with the conviviality of the dinner but rather amplify it. Through game dynamics and table challenges, people retraced the fundamental stages of Bellesini’s history, transforming collective memory into a shared narrative, connection, and mutual recognition.
